New PIEBALD Album 'Tales For The Rages' - Bridge Nine has a limited-to-150 LP variant!
After nearly two decades, PIEBALD return with Tales For The Rages, featuring 13 tracks of emo x indie-rock greatness, written and recorded between 2019–2025 after the band's 2016 reunion sparked a steady flood of riffs, melodies, and lyrics that refused to fade.
It picks up where they left off while confidently pushing forward — not a nostalgia play, but a natural next chapter. Tracked at The Den in North Reading, MA with longtime collaborator Doug Batchelder, the album was produced in part by Jay Maas (Title Fight, Citizen) and mastered by Jack Shirley (Joyce Manor).
The album captures the band’s signature mix of melody, humor, and emotional candor, anchored by massive hooks and harmonies, with an undercurrent of social awareness reflecting on inequality, human behavior, and the strange modern world.
Released via Iodine Recordings, Tales for the Rages marks a new chapter built from the same spirit that defined Piebald’s earlier work, carried forward with renewed urgency and clarity.
Bridge Nine Records is excited to offer an exclusive variant for this new release, 'This Thing is (G)old’ vinyl, limited to 150 - click here to purchase!

In an ironic twist, the last show of Slapshot's "Pope's Dead, You're Next" Tour was 20 years ago today
Twenty years ago this month, SLAPSHOT headed to Europe with CHAMPION and SOME KIND OF HATE on what was originally their “Relight the Fire” tour, but quickly renamed as the “Pope’s Dead, You’re Next” tour (Pope John Paul II died April 2nd, 2005). Here are a bunch of never-before-seen photos (and a few that we’ve posted over the years) from that tour two decades ago:
Death Before Dishonor: "Nowhere Bound" coming May 16th
Today, Boston hardcore legends Death Before Dishonor announce their sixth full-length album, Nowhere Bound, set for release May 16th on Bridge Nine Records. Across eleven tracks, the band deliver with furiosity through resilient vocals, thrashy riffs, and accelerated drums. The album was produced, engineered and mixed by Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed), and recorded at Rock Valley Studio, Easthampton, MA and Planet-Z, Wilbraham, MA. It can be preordered now through Bridge Nine.
On writing the album, drummer Ben Hilton shares:
“Nowhere Bound is a collection of statements and observations that represent our mindset through the past 6 years since our last record. There are familiar themes from past records, like loyalty & friendship, but we also take on entirely new topics for us, like describing what it’s like to maintain your principles as you get older. Whether it’s a song about personal conflict, mental illness, or venting on the state of the world, these are thoughts that cloud our minds until we put pen to paper and address them.”
February single “Overruled” delivered a great sonic indication of what to expect on Nowhere Bound and now the band follow it up with the pummeling “Pushed To The Edge.” Centered around reaching a breaking point, the two-minute long track packs a thunderous energy ready for two-step mosh and epic shout alongs. Stream it HERE.
Death Before Dishonor has a number of upcoming shows including a record release in Boston on May 18th at Sonia with Missing Link, Shattered Realm, Street Power and more. The band will then head out on a west coast tour with Haywire in June. Full dates below.
Formed in 2000, Death Before Dishonor began its partnership with Bridge Nine Records with the release of Friends Family Forever in 2005, followed by Count Me In in 2007. The latter album marked a significant turning point for the band, helping them gain wider recognition in the hardcore punk scene. The band has since released several more albums on the label, including Better Ways to Die in 2009 and Unfinished Business in 2019.
Death Before Dishonor is Bryan Harris (vocals), Ben Kelly (guitar), Justin Viera (guitar), Greg Chihoski (Bass) and Ben Hilton (drums).
CDs are available in North America from Bridge Nine, in Europe from Cargo and Coretex, and the UK from Warpath Records!

Al Barile (SSD) 1961-2025: A true pioneer, R.I.P.
On Sunday, April 6th, 2025, Al Barile, founding member of SSD and X-Claim! Records, passed after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 63 years old.
Flags should be at half mast to acknowledge the passing of this absolute legend. Bridge Nine would not exist if not for the efforts of this man, a dozen or so years before we released our first record. Al built the foundation that we stand upon, and from his influence and inspiration, we continue championing the community that he started building over forty years ago. Thank you for letting us be one of your collaborators. Our deepest respect and condolences to Al and his wife and partner of 43 years, Nancy.
Death Before Dishonor Release New Single & Music Video for "Overruled"
Boston hardcore band Death Before Dishonor share new single “Overruled” out today through Bridge Nine Records. The pummeling track blends the band’s roots in heavy hardcore with catchy hooks and impassioned lyrics. The video for the song captures the band’s intense live show that they’ve been bringing to fans throughout their 26 year career.
On the track, the band shares:
‘“Overruled’, lyrically, is a calling out of those who don’t lead with their true intentions. With this song, we set out to draw the boundary between bonds forged in principle and bonds born from convenience.”
Alongside the new single comes a cover of Albany hardcore band Bulldog Courage track “Old Friends Die Hard.” On the cover, the band notes:
“‘Old Friends Die Hard’ is a cover by our friends, Albany Hardcore greats, Bulldog Courage. Originally written in memory of fallen friends, we saw it fit to re-record their song in dedication of BDC frontman Shane Williams, who passed in 2014. Austin from Haywire provided guest vocals, and helped us keep up what’s now become a tradition for us, recording a sing-along style cover for our releases.”
You can stream both tracks HERE and watch the video for “Overruled” HERE.
The tracks were produced, engineered and mixed by Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed), and recorded at Rock Valley Studio, Easthampton, MA and Planet-Z, Wilbraham, MA.
