Film Screening at B9: Heavy Healing / July 11th - FREE!

May 26, 2026 Bridge Nine

On July 11th, a friend of Bridge Nine, Howie Abrams (you may know him as the guy behind In Effect Records and co-author of The Blood and the Sweat, Vinnie Stigma, the Most Interesting Man in the World, and Finding Joseph I) will be bringing his film, Heavy Healing, to our HQ for an intimate screening and Q&A! Spaces are limited so RSVP HERE!

Watch the trailer to get a feel for what it’s about HERE!

This screening is FREE and will be at Bridge Nine Records on July 11th at 7:00 PM. A Q&A to follow featuring Howie Abrams (HH Director), Seth Abrams (HH Producer), and Nancy Barile (Author - I’m Not Holding Your Coat and How Much Art Can You Take?).

Heavy Healing features members of our music community such as Lou Koller (Sick of It All), Jesse Leach (Killswitch Engage), Vinnie Stigma (Agnostic Front), Mike IX Williams (EyeHateGod), Eddie “Sutton” Pomponio (Leeway), Jimmy G. (Murphy’s Law), Jaret Reddick (Bowling for Soup), Adam Blake (H2O), Mitts (ex-Madball, Skarhead), Jesse Malin and others telling stories about relying on hardcore, punk, metal etc. to recover from illness, medical issues and mental health challenges.

The screening is FREE! Just RSVP at Bridge9.com/heavyhealing to reserve your spot!

Lou Koller, the iconic frontman of NYC’s Sick Of It All, has recently begun treatment for the throat cancer adenocarcinoma. The band has canceled their touring plans for the rest of the year and to help Lou get through this several benefits have been put in place. This Sick Of It All x Judge T-shirt is available from Merch Now and all proceeds benefit Lou, pre-order one HERE (shipping in mid-September). And if you can donate to his GoFundMe, set up by his brother Pete, you can do that HERE!

100+ Years of New York Hardcore in One Show

May 10, 2022 Bridge Nine

Label owner Chris Wrenn (center) pictured with Agnostic Front’s Mike Gallo (left) and Vinnie Stigma (right) at the kick-off of their New York United tour on May 5, 2022.

AGNOSTIC FRONT, SICK OF IT ALL, and CROWN OF THORNZ kicked off the East Coast leg of their New York United tour last Thursday, May 5th at the Middle East in Cambridge, MA and we were blown away by all three performances. This is an opportunity to enjoy a combined 100+ years of New York hardcore in one show and I couldn't recommend it enough. The ability these musicians have to work a crowd is absolutely amazing. Be sure to check out this tour when it comes through your town (dates listed below)!
