We’re hiring a part-time store associate!
We’re looking for someone to join us on a part-time basis at the Bridge Nine Records store in Beverly, MA as a store associate! Details on tasks, the ideal candidate, schedule & compensation are listed below!
POSITION TASKS:
Run Sales Counter & Help Customers
Manage opening/closing procedures
Run sales counter and ring up customers checking out
Answer questions about the brands, inventory, etc.
Restocking & Merchandising
Unpack incoming shipments and organize the backroom storage area efficiently
Monitor stock levels on the floor and replenish sales floor shelves
Monitor product displays to maximize visual appeal
Inventory Control
Perform routine physical inventory counts to maintain accurate stock records
Verify incoming delivery quantities against invoices and report any damages or missing items
Store Cleanliness
Maintain cleanliness of store and backroom spaces (Dusting shelves, cleaning display fixtures, vacuuming aisles, breaking down empty boxes, etc).
Other Opportunities
Do you have a deep knowledge of music? Particularly for punk, hardcore, indie music? This candidate would be eligible to assist with ordering new music for the store.
Looking for extra hours? We have regular events in our warehouse which often require extra hands. Staff receive advance notice of these events and extra hours opportunities.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate…
- is an outgoing, people-person with retail experience who enjoys engaging with customers
- has an all-hands-on-deck attitude and is ready to jump in to help where needed
- is a detail-oriented, self-starter – you see something that needs doing and you take initiative to address it
- has a love and knowledge of music (particularly Bridge Nine releases), New England sports, or – even better – BOTH!
- can move stock boxes weighing up to 40 pounds
- is somewhat local to Beverly and has reliable transportation to be in person at the store
*Bonus Points if you’ve worked in a record store or within the music industry before!
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION:
Schedule is flexible during the week and can be either two 7.5-hour days or three 5-hour days. Must be able to work one weekend a month (which will be communicated in advance): Saturday’s hours are 10:45 am - 6:15 pm, Sunday’s hours are 10:45 am - 5:15 pm. Opportunities for additional hours will be offered as they arise. There is also an opportunity for this to become a full-time role for the right candidate. Hourly pay rate will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and depth of experience.
