Cave In is a band close to our hearts here in Boston. Not only did they get their start in Methuen, MA, but they were originally signed to Hydra Head, one of the labels that Bridge Nine shared a space with at the original 'Initech' office near Fenway Park!
Just over a year ago, Cave In used our then-unfinished warehouse space to record the music video for the song "Reckoning" off their album Heavy Pendulum, released on Relapse Records.
Next Friday (7/7), they're bringing things full circle and doing us the honor of performing for the third event in our B9 warehouse series! We're excited to welcome you to come and share this experience with us.
ATTENDANCE IS FREE, BUT LIMITED. You will be able to reserve your spot starting today by coming to our storefront in Beverly, MA during normal hours while supplies last. Tickets are non-transferrable.
Doors are at 7 PM, performance starts at 8 PM.

It was an honor and a privilege to invite American Nightmare to perform live in the Bridge Nine warehouse on Friday, June 9th, 2023.
Our label would not have been the same had we not once shared an apartment with members of American Nightmare as they wrote the songs that became the band’s debut EP in the fall of 1999.

To have the band return and be a part of the community we are trying to build here in Beverly was nothing short of one of the most memorable evenings we’ve experienced as a label, and we are thankful to have been able to share it with those who were able to make it.
A special thank you to Wes, Josh, Brian, Alex, and Jim for performing. Thank you to Linas Garsys for the fantastic imagery, to Chris Padgett for running sound, to Larry Kelley for helping everything run smoothly, to Anthony Moreschi, Bill Fulkerson, Chris Padgett, Todd Pollock, Adam Tanner, Aaron Pepelis, Dom Dinardo, Johna Jo, Pats Polaroidz, Al Quint, and others for helping to document the evening. We’re excited to report that the song “True Defeat” by Death Before Dishonor was placed in the premiere episode of season 5 of Mayans. Check out a sneak-peek HERE! Guitarist Brian Kemsley (Outbreak) and drummer James Philips (Sea Haven, Final Fight) wrote six songs in November 2021 before recruiting bassist Cornell Ward and vocalist Chad Leddy to record their EP last summer.
Adam Yoe of No Echo described the opening track as “… a blazer that makes its bones somewhere in the midpoint between late '80s NYHC and early ‘oughts Boston. The clean production doesn’t skimp on rawness or urgency, which lends it a vibrant and decidedly current vibe.”
Since the initial release of their EP, they have performed and made a name for themselves across the American northeast, as well as southeast Asia. Keep your eye out for more music to come!
