Two years have passed since Crime In Stereo released their seminal full-length IS DEAD (Bridge Nine Records), an album widely hailed by fans as well as critics as one of the finest rock albums in recent memory. Alternative Press proclaimed IS DEAD to be "The Shape of Hardcore to Come…some of the most ambitious, stunning songwriting melodic hardcore has witnessed in years", while Big Cheese (UK) declared it to be "A great hardcore album? No, a great album, full stop" and Transform Magazine wrote that "Unlike so many others, Crime In Stereo make their songs complex and accessible at the same time. Yet the hooks and melodies remain and the songs stay with you hours after…When it comes to melodic rock that displays intelligence and balls, IS DEAD can stand with the best of them."

Crime In Stereo is currently finishing recording their next album with Mike Sapone (Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, 2007's IS DEAD). Due out in early 2010, this new release includes eleven of the most accessible and ambitious songs CIS has written yet, each track going far beyond the new ground broken by IS DEAD.

The band is currently touring the US with Bridge Nine label mates Strike Anywhere, Polar Bear Club and Ruiner until the end of October, capped off by a headline slot at The Fest in Gainesville, FL. Crime In Stereo then hits the road with Brand New, Thrice and Glassjaw for all of November, in preparation for their album release early next year.
