Terror “Life and Death” T-Shirt

First Printing: 2002

1st B9 Edition (2003)

This was the first T-shirt Bridge Nine released for TERROR, featuring the eagle artwork from their self-released demo CD, which was designed by Matt Smith. Printed on a black, 100% cotton Fruit of the Loom Heavy Cotton brand T-shirt. A small Bridge Nine logo is printed on the back below the neckline.

When asked about the eagle design from Terror’s demo, which became one of their most popular T-shirts, Matt Smith wrote: “Oh nice! Yep I designed that. Originally I recorded a four-song demo with Nick Jett for another band I intended to sing for. I made that logo for that band which was tentatively called Never Again (I’m sure there’s several bands called haha). Anyway I was asked to join Terror, but despite having four songs ready to go, Todd didn’t want to use them (love ya Todd!). It was the logo they all liked. Honestly I just took some old Americana clip art and reduced it to black and white and increased the stroke to make it more stencil like. The shield had an American flag which I swapped out with the upside down star to look a little harder. The first batch of these shirts were printed on my four-foot wide balcony in an apartment complex in Woodland Hills where I lived with Todd. The shirt sold really well and we ended up having Joe Garlip (Envy, World Be Free etc) run several more batches which he shipped to us through out the first tour. While my time in Terror was short, I’m thrilled to see that logo still in use today. My small but lasting contribution to the band!”
