The band will play their record release show with friends Freedom on July 30 in their hometown of Detroit at The Sanctuary, and make an appearance at This Is Hardcore a week later in Philly on August 7 with Turning Point (tribute set), Floorpunch, Ruiner, Breakdown and more.
Bent Life stream new song, pre-orders launched
Bent Life have unveiled a first track from their forthcoming full-length debut, Never Asked for Heaven. Stream "Hands of Lead" at New Noise Magazine and pre-order the album on vinyl, CD and digital formats at B9Store.com with some new shirts, or Bandcamp (digital).

Bent Life's Never Asked for Heaven set for release
Lincoln, Nebraska natives and recent Bridge Nine signees Bent Life have announced their debut album for the label, Never Asked for Heaven, which will be released August 5th. The album, which was recorded with Terror's Nick Jett, showcases the band evolving into an aggressive powerhouse with clarity and precision, capable of thudding riffs and surprisingly memorable, gutting hooks. Inspired by Pantera's harsh groove and Hatebreed's tightly performed bulldoze, Bent Life have emerged from a long writing process revitalized and better than ever. Bent Life are relative Midwest Blood veterans, having churned out brute-force hardcore since 2010. They've cut their teeth sharing the stage with Harm's Way, Comeback Kid, Expire and countless others, and have played at Rain Fest, Midwest Blood Fest, Concrete Fest and more. The band have a three-day Midwest jaunt with Weekend Nachos coming up at the end of July and will announce more tour dates and song premieres in support of Never Asked for Heaven soon.

Us vs them. Love or hate. This world operates in shades of grey, unless you're listening to Detroit hardcore's bold straight-edge band, TRUE LOVE. As far as the lyrical world created by singer Dominic Vargaz is concerned, you're either with them, or against them. While TRUE LOVE initially started with an attempt to resurrect a forgotten sound, with the dual buzzsaw attack from guitarists Alec Faber and Brad Walker, and rhythms driven by bassist Joe Palleschi and drummer Derrick Daniel, the sound becomes entirely their own. Whether they're playing blistering sets on their home turf of Detroit, or playing shows across the country with peers and the bands that defined their sound -- their vision is uncompromising.

They race and pummel through anthems of taking back what's owed, straight-edge fury, broken vows, and the real truths of love lost and sometimes found. Tracks like "Your Side" and "Where It Ends" ache and twist with promises of forever, backed by crushing walls of guitars and "nobody stands still" breaks, while tracks "Kill for That" and "Stay True" showcase TRUE LOVE's ability to slow from frenetic, breakneck speeds to a mid-paced groove that leads to a controlled chaos. There's something for everyone here -- love them or leave them, they aren't going anywhere.
Malfunction tapped as support for Merauder's final U.S. tour
Malfunction have been announced as direct support for Merauder's forthcoming U.S. tour, which Merauder is billing as their final one and a 20th anniversary for their beloved Master Killer album. Mizery will appear on all dates as well. Support on various legs also include Left Behind, Rhythm of Fear, Purgatory, Sentenced to Burn (f.k.a. Drown), and Detriment.
This will follow Malfunction's U.S. headliner with Lost Souls, which kicks off in 10 days. Scope those dates below as well, with more show confirmations coming:
