Legendary Hardcore Band’s ‘Shout Out’ to Boston’s Music Legacy Features Mighty Mighty Bosstone Dicky Barrett on Back-up Vocals

Reformed “Kings of Boston Hardcore” – DYS - launch a preview of their second Digital single, "Sound of our Town", today on
AMPMagazine.com. Fans can stream the track, which includes a guest appearance from long-time friend and supporter, Mighty Mighty Bosstone singer Dicky Barrett.

“Sound of our Town” will be officially released Tuesday, December 13th, 2011, for 99 cents on iTunes, Amazon.com and B9Store.com.

The band has also released some exclusive new merchandise featuring their Boston Terrier King logo, created by tattoo great Kevin Quinn, find those at B9Store.com.

"Sound of our Town" is DYS’ love letter to Boston’s passion for all forms of hard music and features the band's new line-up; vocalist Dave Smalley (ex- Dag Nasty, All, Down by Law) and bass player Jonathan Anastas (ex-Slapshot) are joined by guitar player Franz Stahl (Scream, ex-Foo Fighters), drummer Al Pahanish Jr. (ex- Powerman 5000) and guitar player Adam Porris (ex-Far From Finished). The track was was Produced by Andrew "Mudrock" Murdock (Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold, Riverboat Gamblers), recorded at his Hobby Shop Studio, West in Los Angeles, and mastered by Dave Shultz at D2.

“Sound of our Town” is the follow-up to “Wild Card” in the band’s series of Digital single releases on Bridge Nine Records. Their 2010 reunion was documented live and released as More than Fashion: Live From The Gallery East Reunion, also via Bridge Nine.
