Bridge Nine in the film Manchester By The Sea

Bridge Nine is excited to acknowledge that a banner of our logo and a few of our band’s posters were featured in the bedroom of character Patrick Chandler (played by actor Lucas Hedges) in the film Manchester By The Sea. It even made it into the trailer, which can be viewed HERE! Co-starring Casey Affleck as Patrick’s grief-stricken uncle, Manchester By The Sea received six Academy Award nominations, taking home two for Best Original Screenplay and Best Actor for Casey Affleck.

War on Womens 2015 debut LP on Bridge 9 rips and their live show is even more powerful. Heres what I said about it when they opened for FLAG earlier this year: They make a hardcore with a message that iss very relevant and necessary right now - rape, abortion rights, street harassment and transphobia were just a few things they tackled during their set. They also have a killer rhythm section, sharp, loud guitars, and a truly unforgettable singer, Shawna Potter. The best hardcore shows are the ones where you can not look away or get bored, even if you try, and Shawna is a big reason War On Women puts on shows like that. She is sarcastic, angry, confrontational, and entertaining all at once, and it shows in both her delivery and her constantly-animated performance. 'We are bringing our message of feminism across the globe, Potter, the band's singer, tells Newsweek in the basement of Saint Vitus, a dimly lit bar and music venue in Brooklyns Greenpoint neighborhood, where they are playing with hardcore punk stalwarts Global Threat and Strike Anywhere. It is also the night of the second presidential debate and bizarrely enough, Saint Vituss basement is home to a pastel painting of Republican president nominee Donald Trump that imagines him as a 1989 real estate Willy Wonka.'

Alcoa announce split 7-inch with Choir Vandals: new song + pre-order

Defeater frontman Derek Archambault's alt-country solo vehicle, Alcoa, teams up with Midwest indie rock up-and-comers Choir Vandals for a split with never-before-heard material from both acts. Alcoa contribute a pair of B-sides from the sessions for his fantastic 2015 sophomore full-length, 'Parlour Tricks', while Choir Vandals provide two brand new songs, on the heels of several well-received EPs, including the recent 'Bedroom Songs (Demos 2014-16)'. Both Alcoa and Choir Vandals will be touring together overseas in support of the release, which hits stores on November 4th 2016. Pre-orders are now available at the B9store.

Have Heart's 'The Things We Carry' 10th Anniversary - limited screen printed poster and special deals

This week marks the 10th anniversary of Have Heart's classic full-length debut, The Things We Carry. This album marked a new era for hardcore, taking cornerstone inspirations like Youth of Today, Turning Point, Outspoken, and Bane while developing an entirely fresh sound. If that wasn't enough, it avoided the hardcore lyrical cliches becoming so prominent by that time, touching not only on straight-edge, but philosophy, heartbreak, and regret with a poetic yet aggressive edge.
