-iTunes
-Amazon CD
-Amazon MP3
-Google Play

Recorded at GCR Recording Studios with Jay Zubricky, mixed by Taylor Young (Nails, Twitching Tongues), and mastered by Paul Leavitt (Turnstile, Darkest Hour), Fear of Failure is a harsh and uncompromising bout of metallic hardcore. The band's first proper release in three years after touring extensively with the likes of Bane, Turnstile, Backtrack, and Harm's Way shows them progressing considerably, adopting a loose and raw yet thoroughly heavy strain aggressively exorcising the demons of personal anxieties and volatile relationships.

Silver Snakes announce new album on Evil Ink Records, premiere new song

November 17, 2015 Bridge Nine
silversnakessaboteur.jpg

We're happy to say that Silver Snakes have announced their new album on their new label, Evil Ink Records (headed by Coheed and Cambria's Claudio Sanchez). It's called Saboteur, is out February 5, 2016, and you can hear the first song, "Raindance", at BrooklynVegan. Pre-orders are available here.

Here's what the band had to say about the song and album:

'Saboteur is a record summed up by its title. It's about sabotage, it's about using direct action to accomplish a goal. It can be applied to many situations : Personal, Political etc. it's about having the passion to do absolutely whatever it takes to make a point even if it's potentially harmful.
"Raindance" was one of the first songs written for the record. It's the follow up track to a song we previously released called "Sundance" which was about being caught up in abusive relationships. "Raindance" is about taking the plunge into new endeavors only to have voices from the past show up to steer you elsewhere. It's the balance between sides, The person being torn down and the voice of negativity all speaking at once.
'

The band will be on the road supporting Coheed, along with Glassjaw, early next year. Check those dates, as well as the Saboteur track listing, below.

1. Electricity
2. Glass
3. Raindance

Malfunction's 'Fear of Failure' streaming in full; album out this Friday

November 16, 2015 Bridge Nine
fearoffailure.jpg

We've partnered with BrooklynVegan to premiere a stream of Malfunction's forthcoming debut album,Fear in Failure, in full. Check out what they had to say:

"...it pulls from the kind of hardcore/metalcore their hometown area of upstate NY has been churning out for the past two decades. It's something you could picture coming out on Victory before that label went totally mall-core (they've got the chug of Earth Crisis' "Firestorm" on track one, "Drained"). Malfunction change it up too, like when they go borderline post-rock on "Sonic." It's a good record."

Fear of Failure is out this Friday, November 20. Pre-order a copy at B9Store.com and check out the band on tour with Terror and Code Orange starting at the end of this month.

War On Women premiere new music video for "Say It", start tour with Government Issue to FEST and back

October 29, 2015 Bridge Nine
waronwomen.jpg

War On Women have premiered their brand new (and very powerful) music video for "Say It" over at Punknews.

Vocalist Shawna Potter commented, "For this video we wanted to highlight the work of The Monument Quilt Project, which is based in our hometown of Baltimore, as well as give local survivors of sexual assault and rape an opportunity to sing along with us, without shame or stigma.

Shooting this video was an incredibly moving experience for everyone in the band. We know that not all victims have the opportunity to speak out about their experiences, or are shamed when they do. For people who are ready to speak out, or need to, we hope this song can be a safe way to say 'I was raped' out loud. You're not alone."

The band also kick off a string of shows with Government Issue today, taking them to FEST this weekend in Gainesville. See them on tour now and into next year:

WAR ON WOMEN tour dates:

Hierophant sign to Season of Mist

October 21, 2015 Bridge Nine

When Hierophant sent us demos in the summer of 2012 for their then-forthcoming album, Great Mother : Holy Monster, we were floored. We were more than happy to partner with the band and release that album the following year. The Italian "death punks" followed it up with the even more powerful Peste about a year ago. The band has toured Europe and beyond steadily since then, and reconfigured their lineup recently with the departure of vocalist Carlo Aromando, with guitarist Lorenzo Gulminelli stepping up to fill his role.

We're now proud to say that the band has joined the Season of Mist label to release their next record. They've also announced tour dates for Australia and their home country of Italy. Check those out below.

Congrats to the band and keep up with them at Facebook for more updates on their forthcoming fourth full-length.

HIEROPHANT upcoming tour dates:
AUSTRALIAN TOUR
10 Dec 15 New Castle (AU) Hamilton Hotel

17 Dec 15 Melbourne (AU) The Bendigo
18 Dec 15 Melbourne (AU) Secret Location
19 Dec 15 Adelaide (AU) Metro
