Connecticut “SXE HXC” License Plate T-Shirt

This “Straight Edge Hardcore” Connecticut license plate T-shirt was the first design that Chris Wrenn made in the months before starting the Bridge Nine record label. This blue-and-white hand-drawn illustration was first printed as a paper sticker and, shortly after, screen-printed onto a T-shirt. Three colors of Oneita Power-T brand shirts were used: ash gray, tan, and burgundy. This first T-shirt design was an effort by Chris so that he and his friends could rep their hometown scene and promote a straight-edge lifestyle.
