CRIME IN STEREO

Crime in Stereo is a band from Long Island, New York, who have released four studio albums, one pushing the boundaries of melodic hardcore, alternative and punk to progressive heights more than the last. Their most recent effort is 2010's I Was Trying to Describe You to Someone, described by guitarist Alex Dunne as their "biggest accomplishment as a band. It's not just our best record; it's leaps and bounds beyond everything we've done previously." Its recording was helmed in the summer and fall of 2009 by producer extraordinaire Mike Sapone (Brand New, Straylight Run, Crime in Stereo's Is Dead).

Hailed by fans as well as critics, 2007's Is Dead was also called "The Shape of Hardcore to Come... some of the most ambitious, stunning songwriting melodic hardcore has witnessed in years" by Alternative Press, and was lauded by Big Cheese (UK) as "A great hardcore album? No, a great album, full stop."

Writing and recording I Was Trying to Describe You to Someone was a grueling effort that spanned several months but the band's hard work alongside Sapone clearly has paid off: The resulting album clearly transcended anything Crime in Stereo had released to date.

After a brief hiatus taken from 2011 to 2012, the band reemerged late that year for some well-received shows. They've since been hard at work on new material.
