Ceremony's album Still Nothing Moves You is now up for sale at www.b9store.com/ceremony. It's noon wednesday when we said it'd be up, right?

We have three new shirt designs, a new hoodie, and plenty of vinyl and CD options for you to pick up.

Ceremony Still Nothing Moves You is a disturbing and challenging accomplishment and what's so great about it is that it is an impossible album to describe in comparison to other bands or previous artists. Following the release of Violence Violence in 2006, Ceremony forcefully defined what it is they do as a band and in the process, they catapulted themselves into the upper eschelon of hardcore and punk music. Punknews called Violence violence "a modern hardcore masterpiece" and Ceremony's recognition came all the way from Alternative Press, who lauded the band as one of their 22 Bands Who Won't Stay Underground for Long as well as giving the band a full-page feature in 2008's "Bands to Know" issue. 2007's Bridge Nine ep Scared People was hailed as 2007's EP of the Year by Punknews once again, but until now, the band had yet to record a full-length album for Bridge Nine until now.

Ceremony's Still Nothing Moves You was recorded with Dan Rathbun at Polymorph Studios (Tragedy, From Ashes Rise, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum) and it's the perfect mix of clarity and quality of a professional recording without losing the dynamics and grit of a punk recording. Still Nothing Moves You takes what groundwork has been laid and adds new levels of dissonance, power, and even new tunings to the world of hardcore, further defining Ceremony as a band that can only be referred to as "for fans of Ceremony."

Just in case you didn't know, or don't look at the "upcoming release" section, Energy's new album Invasions of the Mind is coming out September 30th. That's about ten weeks for you to get ready because trust us...it's going to blow you away.

You can view the art HERE because posting it would mess up the great and smooth layout of our blog and bum Chris out. We will be posting a new song shortly.

Cruel Hand's album Prying Eyes is in the finishing stages. We were lucky enough to stop by the growing Getaway Group recording studios in Wakefield, MA.

Walking into Getaway reminds me of what I've heard Salad Days used to be like "back in the day." Jay Maas will probably become the next big name like Brian McTernan of hardcore or punk. Here's hoping. Every recording he does, he gets better. He just gets it and one of the most impressive things about him is that he doesn't sound the same from one recording to the next. With a little time, I could see him becoming one of those dudes who throws shit at bands and says "this is my fucking studio, get out if you don't agree with me" all melodramatic Metallica style. And it's all from the basement of a small house in Wakefield so he's close and I can bring him Bagel World

But back to Cruel Hand. These dudes are creating a record that, I shit you not, sounds like Madball meets Early Metallica with the Cro-Mags overseeing the sessions. The guys are tight musicians, meaning this record is what you'll get live. October 14th-Prying Eyes.
