So, here we are: what you don't know and what you should know about South America before you wanna ever come down here with your band playing:
- people here don't live on trees, for incredible that it may seem, there are HC shows, there is internet and people like HC bands. Probably the same as you like or know.
- you won't get sick of whatever disease they tell you.
- you never gonna drive from a country to another, you fly or you never gonna make it. Of course if your program is to spend 6 months to do a South American tour, then you can drive all your way down.
- within the same country you may drive to get to minor cities and the roads are definitely shitty, so prepare yourself for long drives, few stops, two many bends, rude drivers.
- shows are packed. kids go crazy. they mosh, they singalong and they support the band.
- food is very good, and it's cheap.
- people are very friendly and like to take pictures with you. Especially in Colombia.
- if you wanna learn spanish is a plus, all countries except for Brazil talk spanish.
