Death Before Dishonor announces Better Ways To Die and Summer 10 Bands for $10 with Crime In Stereo, Poison the Well, Madball & More!
Two years ago, Death Before Dishonor was just a band from Boston that had a burning desire to tour. Following a few weeks on the Billboard Heatseekers Charts, and sharing the international road from Russia and Australia to every corner of North America with everyone from Have Heart to Hatebreed, Death Before Dishonor is gearing up to release their third and most accomplished studio album to date - Better Ways to Die that hits stores July 28 in North America, July 27 in the UK and Europe and July 31 in Germany.
Recorded by Jim Siegel, Better Ways To Die showcases Death Before Dishonor reaching outside of the safe hardcore formulas both in songs and content while still retaining their roots in the South Boston upbringing. Better Ways To Die lies somewhere between the harder punk edge of Rancid, the working class anthems of fellow Bostonians
Dropkick Murphys, the hardcore attack of Hatebreed and the precision and riffage of Slayer – this is the sound of a true Boston Hardcore band. As vocalist Bryan Harris stated, “If it weren’t for this band, I would be sitting in Massachusetts,” Harris stated. “In the last two
years I’ve been to Australia, Russia, Ukraine, Japan, all across Europe, the US and Canada and I’ve seen all four oceans. We have no reason to stop now- people are now starting to pay attention.”
DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR & CRIME IN STEREO featured on 10 Bands for $10 Tour with Madball, Poison The Well, Bane & More!
Amid economic woes, rising show costs and the dilution of hardcore packages, Bridge Nine in collaboration with a shitload of companies and people who really fought to see this tour happen (Facedown Records, Century Media Records, Pitchfork Hardwear, Bridge Nine Records, Peta2, Black N Blue Productions, Hollywood Music TV, Ferret Music, The Agency Group) will present the 10 For $10 Summer Tour.
Ten quality bands for ten dollars, headlined by Poison The Well, who will be performing on every date, and on separate legs of the tour headline spots rom Madball, Bane and Vision Of Disorder. Also appearing will be established bands with rabid followings such as our very own Death Before Dishonor and Crime In Stereo along with Terror, Trapped Under Ice, The Mongoloids, The Ghost Inside, This Is Hell and Vision.
Speaking on the creation of the tour booking guru Tim Borror of The Agency Group said, “This tour is important because hardcore music is a lifestyle and has been an inspiration to the people who get involved and know what the movement and music is all about. In the last few years the crowds have been a bit smaller than what they should be and we hope an idea like this where kids are getting an opportunity to check out a lot of bands for cheap will inspire some new kids to come out, get involved and become a part of this scene to help it grow.”
Death Before Dishonor will be on all dates from July 9-August 5 and Crime In Stereo will be on the whole tour. Dates are on Death Before Dishonor Tours and Crime in Stereo Tours
