It's 12:25am and I'm fighting to stay awake.
We got up at 6:30a.m. in my dank basement apartment feeling shitty probably due to the fact that I fell asleep with the dehumidifier off.
We hit the train and went to catch the Lucky Star from South Station, getting there early enough to get seat's together and settle in for the ride, Rachel with a newspaper of all crossword pages gathered from the papers in my recycling bin and me with an audio book of "Beating Vegas" which I dozed off during a few times and had to backtrack and listen agin to. After a quick stop for a crappy lemonade 'icee' at a rest stop the rest of the ride went fast and we got to Chinatown and caught a cab to Red Bamboo for some take away food before continuing on to the Bolt Bus to Philly where we enjoyed our food and used the internet to figure out the city and places we needed to find out ways to and from.
The ride flew by and we got to Philly and waked to our hotel to drop our stuff off besides the bag of Bridge 9 T-shirts we brought and headed to the venue to get set up. There was no UPS packages waiting for us and after a few frantic phone calls, it was determined that UPS still had a few hours to complete the delivery, so for the beginning of the show there was only two lonely t-shirts and some promotional stickers on the table until just after 7pm as soon as I dialed 1-800-Pick UPS I see the truck roll up and load out all the boxes into the venue which is already three bands deep, so it was pretty hectic and I wasn't able to pay attention to the Deathcyle set because we were unloading boxes, re-arranging the setup, trying not to fall over each other and fighting people off from buying stuff before it was all set up.
Eventually we did and were able to enjoy the rest of the show, most notably the frenzied Paint It Black stage dive fest and Madball capping the night off.
I'm sure I missed a few things, but right now I'm ready to fall asleep watching Natural Born Killers and wake up in time for the continental breakfast downstairs in the morning.
